Free insurance for AP students living abroad

Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRTS), an entity state government, is now of fering free insurance to students from AP who are currently studying or working abroad, under Pravasandh ra Bharosa Bima (PBB) in surance scheme. AP students living in foreign land can enroll in the scheme for free till January 15. APNRTS advised students to utilise opportunities at the earliest. It may be mentioned here that the student premium normally is 180 for a year. There is a high possibility of an increase in PBB premium and decrease in PBB benefits.Venkat S Medapti, president of APNRTS, emphasised on importance of PBB and said that if a student falls victim to some unforeseen situation during their stay abroad, life insurance amounting upto 10 lakh will be provided. He urged AP students studying abroad and their families to enroll in the scheme at the earliest.Under PBB scheme, ₹10 lakh financial assistance would be given in case if accidental death or permanent disability. Upto 1 lakh medical expenses for injuries or sickness and a one-way economy air ticket will be provided in case of non-continuation of studies due to sickness or accidental injuries, amog other benefits.
