APNRT Trust - Connect to Andhra

“Connect to Andhra” is an initiative by Government of Andhra Pradesh to create a platform for cooperation and collaboration for all development and philanthropic activities in the state by various stakeholders like Corporates, Philanthropists, HNIs, NRIs and other development agencies. The initiative tries to bridge any infrastructure gaps in villages and wards of our state through innovative projects.

APNRT Trust ( a subsidiary of APNRT Society) has been formed with a special purpose of exclusively looking after the NRI funded service and developmental activities similar to Connect to Andhra. APNRT Trust is the nodal agency for networking with NRTs and pooling financial contributions towards the development of schools, colleges, hospitals and community infrastructure in the Villages and Wards of A.P, thus providing opportunity to NRTs to connect back to their home towns or villages and participate in the socio economic development process of A.P.

Focus Areas of APNRT Trust:

APNRT Trust while it takes up all the developmental activities in the villages with the donations from NRTs, would focus on the following sectors at present:


School Infrastructure:
  • Playground development
  • Provision of Sports materials
  • Equipment for Science labs
  • Auditorium
  • Additional Classrooms
  • Toilets
  • Furniture for students and staff
  • Drinking water
  • Wall paintings
  • Dining Hall & Furniture
  • Cycle sheds etc..
Establishment of Children’s Libraries in Schools:

650 number of books of interest to children with colourful graphic designs on history, biographies, culture, science moral values etc. along with lockable steel case.

Health:
  • Hospital equipment
  • Ambulances
  • Health Camps
  • Hospital buildings
Community Infrastructure:
  • Burial Grounds
  • Drinking water
  • Community Halls
  • Temple development
Child Development (Strengthening of Anganwadis) :
  • Play equipment
  • Toilets
  • Kitchen utensils
  • Furniture( Fans , lights )
  • Additional supplementation of nutrition for malnourished children
  • Additional supplementation of nutrition for pregnant and lactating mothers
  • Wall paintings
