APNRT Society in association with Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) took part in the world’s largest beach clean-up program by ‘Parley for the Oceans’ at Visakhapatnam on Dt. 26.08.2022. Parley for the Oceans is a non-profit environmental organization which has created ‘Parley Global Clean-up Network’ that works to protect marine environments from plastic pollution. It removes plastic waste from beaches, remote islands, rivers, mangroves and high seas etc.
Hon'ble IT & Industries Minister Sri Gudivada Amarnath garu, District Collector and Magistrate Dr.A. Mallikarjuna, IAS, GVMC Commissioner and other delegates took part in this drive.
APNRT Society staff members participated in this clean-up drive along with donating nearly 300 reusable Trash Picking Metal Sticks to GVMC at Ramakrishna Beach in Visakhapatnam to be used in this mega beach clean-up drive and later. APNRTS is committed to plastic free coasts and will promote ‘No to Plastic’ campaign among the NRT groups and Associations. APNRTS requests NRIs from AP to contribute to environment protection causes such as these and make entire sea coast in AP plastic free.
