APNRT Society as a part of its “Training and Placements” program conducted a placement drive on 18th February, 2020 at VR Siddhartha Engineering College, Kanuru, Vijayawada in order to provide talented youth with technical capabilities to the companies which migrated to Andhra Pradesh. APNRTS has created a unique platform for Engineering and Non Engineering students of Andhra Pradesh and facilitating the placements as per the requirement of the companies. 4 companies from various streams namely “Norm Software Solutions, Headrun, CADeploy, Inflocuris” participated in this placement drive and the company HR representatives conducted the preliminary interviews and short listed 180 candidates. Final round of interview will be conducted to the short listed candidates in the office premises of the companies.
A total of 780 students from various colleges registered and attended the placement drive. Mr. Venkat S Medapati, President, APNRTS briefed the audience about the services offered by APNRTS which include online IT & Software trainings etc to improve Global job opportunities in IT industries to the prospective aspirants. He informed that the companies coming for the placements are related to a NRT in one way or the other. Some companies have set up a centre in order to provide job opportunities to the youth as part of their courteousness in giving back to the state of A.P
APNRTS has established a separate career counselling wing called “Vidya Vahini” to provide career counselling to the students aspiring to pursue overseas education. Vidya Vahini supports the students in Overseas University Admission Process, Scholarships program, Career recommendations, visa process etc. He reiterated all the services offered to the students are free of cost.
He mentioned “Skills” play an important role in building a career and succeeding in life. Government of Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy garu is focusing on to improve the skill sets of youth of A.P thereby enabling them with better career opportunities. For this, two skill universities are being set up, one high end IT & Software Skill University in Visakhapatnam and a Technical University in Tirupathi.  Apart from these, 30 Skill Colleges are being developed in each Parliamentary Constituency. In the next two years, youth from A.P will be trained in the relevant skills under the guidance of Industry Experts in these universities and colleges and are made job ready. This initiative of the Government will create a highly talented pool of youth from A.P with the required technical skills thereby attracting the MNC’s to set up their company in A.P. Mr. Venkat S Medapti wished success to all the students participating in the drive.
Along with the President, Sri Dr.Ratna Prasad, Principal, VR Siddhartha Engineering College addressed the students and wished them all success in their interviews.
