 APNRT society is a 100% Government owned non-profit society established in May 2016 by Government of Andhra Pradesh, to bring worldwide Nonresident Telugu community under one roof, to actively engage them to participate in the growth and prosperity of Andhra Pradesh and to serve their needs back home in India.

  APNRT Society is governed by a seven member “General Body’ which meets at least once every year and is the supreme authority for all matters concerning the society’s charter and bye-laws. The General Body of the society sets the future direction of the society and makes all major decisions concerning it’s’ governance.

  The seven member General Body of the society include The Chief Minister of A.P who is its Chairman and five Secretary level I.A.S officers of the Government of A.P, acting as Ex-Officio members and one Non-Resident Member who is nominated by the Chief Minister of A.P as “Advisor to Gov’t of A.P, NRT Affairs and Investments”, who acts as the ex-officio “President & CEO” of the Society.

  The management of the society is vested in an “Executive Council” consisting of five members derived from the General Body and three NRT Members, who will act as the Executive Leadership for taking care of the day to day affairs of the society, with the President of the society acting as the head of the Executive Council.

  In addition to the above there is a voluntary organization within APNRTS consisting of a “Global Advisory Council” whose members are derived from the senior community leaders, senior entrepreneurs and other people of repute, to elicit guidance in the future direction of the society.

  A network of “Co-ordinators” in every major city help the APNRTS organization spread its message and activities throughout the globe and to assist the APNRTS members in answering any questions they may have.

  Also a network of “Regional Administrators”, who are senior APNRTS members will act as the facilitators for Meetings and mentor the APNRTS members as the go to persons in their specific geographic area.

APNRTS consists of three divisions / Focus areas

 Services: Services Division is created to fulfil NRT’s needs back home. A team of service professionals work round the clock to deliver the solutions for the unique needs of our NRT members as a one-stop shop to provide much needed assistance.

 Investments: Investments Division is created as a platform for investors to expedite conversion of investment plans to setting up Industry.

 CONNECT to ANDHRA: Connect to Andhra Division ensures that works initiated by Donors at their own villages get expedited by bringing in transparency / facilitation with government functionaries.

APNRTS services include:

 Investment guidance: APNRTS provides guidance on sector wise policies and incentives for investments in various industrial sectors in the state, framed by the government.

 Procedural guidance: APNRTS will act as a lobbyist within the government to provide guidance to prospective entrepreneurs and walk them through the procedural maze as a single window till the desired milestones are achieved.

 Lost document (Property / Educational): Seek relevant proofs of ownership and forward request and arrange to meet relevant hierarchy of revenue department. Seek Follow-up / closure of issues raised.

 Guidance for issue of OCI/PAN/Aadhaar cards: We forward concerned departments application along with details whom to forward / what to attach.

 Special Passes for Temple Visits (Special Passes for Eight Temples are available for now -

  • Venketeshwara Swamy temple at Tirumala.
  • Srikalahastiswara temple at Srikalahasthi.
  • Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Simhachalam.
  • Satyanarayana Swamy temple at Annavaram.
  • Varasiddhi Vinayaka temple at Kanipakam.
  • Bhramaramba Mallikharjuna Swamy temple at Srisailam.
  • Kanakadurgamma temple at Vijayawada and Venketeshwara Swamy temple at Dwaraka Tirumala.

 All services provided by APNRTS are free and there are no charges or fees for availing above services.

 This is a Gov’t of A.P Initiative to have NRT’s participating in the development of the villages which they hailed from or have an interest in. Donates for his own village for a development work, and work will be taken up by “nominee of donor” to establish development work.

 APNRTS organization is created to specifically cater to the needs of Non-Resident Telugus of the residual state of Andhra Pradesh and the desirous member need to provide proof that he/she is a non-resident Telugu and residing in a foreign country. Proofs may include a valid driving license issued in a foreign country or a foreign passport or a government issued ID denoting a non-resident status.

 TANA, NATA, NATS etc., are voluntary cultural organizations based abroad, whereas APNRTS society is an A.P Gov’t body based in India. APNRTS’s role is to engage the NRTs for activities which happen mostly within India whereas TANA, NATA etc. are established in specific foreign countries to engage Telugu’s living in those countries and they are not legal entities of Andhra Pradesh / India.

 India’s growth rate has surpassed many other countries. Andhra Pradesh’s growth rate being more than India’s growth rate is a positive factor. Also the Rate of Return on Investment has been high in Andhra Pradesh.

 Equity:

  • India FDI inflows were at $40 billion in FY16 / $30 billion in FY15Debt.
  • Your deposits in dollars may fetch very little interest abroad whereas in India you can get positive interest and your investments can also help government to build infrastructure in India.

 State Governments announce policies of incentives sector wise for five years to give stability to policies and yes Investment proposals which bring in significant Investment / Employment / Advanced Technology / Exports / Sector focus would be specially considered for fast tracking as well as additional benefits.

 Permissions/Approvals shall be fast tracked and cleared through Single Desk portal and APNRT society shall be part of the process/feedback.

 Investment in real property form approximately 25% of HNI investors portfolio in India and we wish to develop big ticket world class infrastructure initiatives sponsored by APNRTS, funded and owned by Non-resident Telugus through specialized investment vehicles. NRT Icon is one such project underway. Other projects of this nature include Industrial Parks and Commercial Complexes.

 Up to 100% FDI under automatic route is now also permitted in coffee, rubber, cardamom, palm oil tree and olive oil tree plantations in addition to tea plantations. No FDI is permitted in any other plantation activities. FDI up to 100% is also allowed under automatic route for animal husbandry (including breeding of dogs), Pisciculture, Aquaculture and Apiculture.

 Palm oil Plantation: Andhra Pradesh with lands which are being brought into cultivation for the first time i.e. once designated as forests with ample rainfall in East Godavari / Vishakhapatnam and Srikakulam are providing good yields. This way you can get better returns and reduce oil imports of India.

 Apiculture: Andhra Pradesh: Cultivation of vegetables and mushrooms the term “controlled conditions” means and includes the practice of cultivation wherein rainfall, temperature, solar radiation, air humidity and culture medium are controlled artificially. Control in these parameters is affected through protected cultivation under greenhouses, net houses, poly houses or any other improved infrastructure facilities where micro-climatic conditions are regulated anthropologically.
